Spring 2018 Umbra Institute Weekend Excursion
THE BAY OF NAPLES – SPLENDORS OF SOUTHERN ITALY
Pompeii – Sorrento – Capri – Naples
In Spring 2018 Umbra will be running its semester weekend excursion to the picturesque and majestic region of The Bay of Naples in Southern Italy. The trip also includes visits to Pompeii ruins and the historic Naples. The Gulf of Naples opens to the west into the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered on the north by the cities of Naples and Pozzuoli, on the east by Mount Vesuvius, and on the south by the Sorrentine Peninsula and the main town of the peninsula, Sorrento which is a small town wonderfully located over white steep cliffs and offers a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. The Isle of Capri is famed as a classy and beautiful holiday destination. It’s an island of myths, ranging through sirens charming seafarers, ancient Roman orgies, and dreamy sea views. The bay of Naples is considered one of the most beautiful places in Italy and often overlooked by student travellers. But now is your chance to participate in this unique and enchanting weekend experience.
The dates are from Friday, April 6th to Sunday, April 8th
