Tentative Itinerary

Friday, March 30, 2012

6:00 am – Departure by private bus from Piazza Italia (near Bata shoe store). Please be punctual!

 

10:30 am – Arrival at Pompeii where we’ll break into two groups for a guided tour of this in fascinating ancient city.

 

12:30 pm – Transfer to the hotel in Sorrento and settle into rooms. Free time for lunch and to explore Sorrento.

7:30 pm – Dinner at the hotel

 

Saturday, April 1, 2012

7:30-8:00 am – Breakfast at the hotel

 

9:00 am – Load bus and head to port to catch ferry to Capri. You’ll have the entire day free to explore the island with its towering rocky cliffs and beautiful seascape. Several boat companies offer boating trips along the coast of the island and to the “Grotta Azzurra” (Blue Grotto).

 

Please note that the boat tours departing from Marina Grande cost roughly 8 Euro and if you want to enter the Blue Grotto be prepared to pay an additional fee of 4-8 Euro (this is not included in theUmbra package).

 

5:15 pm- Regroup at the Marina Grande dock and take ferry back to Sorrento (ferry leaves at 5:40). Take transfer bus back up to Hotel Michelangelo. 7:30 pm – Dinner at the hotel

 

Sunday, April 2, 2012

8:00-8:30 am – Breakfast at the hotel

 

9:00 am – Check out of hotel. Depart Sorrento and head for Naples.

 

11:30 am – Guided tour of the city Naples including Piazza del Plebiscito, Gallery Umberto I, the Royal palace and San Carlo Theatre Panoramic Naples and more

 

1:30 pm – Free time for lunch and self exploration of the historic center. Our recommendation? Enjoy the world famous Neapolitan pizza – not to be missed!!

 

4:00 pm – Departure for Perugia

9:00 pm – Estimated arrival in Perugia
