Prof. Simon Young’s History and Culture of Food in Italy course goes to Florence today to see the San Miniato a Monte church above the legendary Piazzale Michaelangelo and then, after strolling across the city, to dine on “modern medieval cuisine” at the Pentola d’Oro.
Itinerary
8:45am: Departure from Perugia (P.za Italia) by bus
11:00am: Arrival in Florence (Piazzale Michaelangelo)
1:00pm: Lunch at the Pentola d’Oro (Via di Mezzo, 24)
4:00-4:30pm: Finish lunch and head for the bus.
