Teaching Philosophy:
I feel that I did my job when I witness evidence of increased enthusiasm among my students towards the Italian language and see them really enjoy learning: in that case, I can “forgive” any previous lack of enthusiasm they may have exhibited at the beginning.
What students need to bring to the Umbra Experience:
Everything but the idea of having just having fun doing a semester abroad, because it’s much, much more! It takes an effort of their part to get the most from the experience but the efforts are greatly rewarded.
Favorite Teaching Moments:
Every time my students realize that they said something in Italian they would have never thought they could.
