Teaching Philosophy
Teaching is a special job: every semester it is a new experience. For me teaching is learning. Your understanding of the subject matter (in my case of history and politics) is refreshed and expanded every day. I appreciate that there is always room for improvement and innovation in my methodology and this helps me in my research activities and broadly life.

What students need to bring to the Umbra Experience
Students should bring their curiosity about a new country, a new language, a new culture and a new learning context, and their willingness to share their culture with others. Student she bring enthusiasm, but also a sense of self responsibility.

Favorite teaching moments
The moment when you feel that your students and you are “speaking the same language”. Usually this does not really happen when they give a correct answer, but instead when they begin asking the correct questions.

Favorite quote
“Studying abroad is a unique chance to become more independent and open-minded.”
