Spring 16 Ambassador
Here at Umbra I took the History of Italian Food and Culture, Human Development, Italian, Integrated Marketing Communications, and was part of the Critical Disabilities internship. My favorite class was my critical disabilities internship because it pushed me out of my comfort zone and also allowed me to make lasting friendships. I was amazed by how much I could communicate and form bonds even with a language barrier. I was so nervous to study abroad because I had never been away from home for very long. This experience has allowed me to become much more independent and make amazing friendships. The Umbra community is a tight knit family and helped turn Perugia into my second home. My advice to future students would be to come without knowing anybody because it really allows you to go out and meet so many new people!
