The Summer Session has two options: the General Studies option runs from the last week in May to the end of June; the Intensive Italian Language through Culture Program runs for 6 weeks from the last week in May through July.

“My ultimate goal for study abroad was to fully immerse myself into the culture and “do as the Italians do.” Perugia seemed to be the perfect place to do that, and I was definitely not wrong!”

“Umbra is the best place to study abroad! The people I met while studying abroad are still some of my greatest friends. The faculty and staff are always helpful and friendly, the welcoming city of Perugia has a lot of character, and the professors taught me so much about Italian culture through experiential learning. The Institute really puts the effort in to help you get the full experience of living and studying in Italy!”

“I did a whole year in Perugia with the first semester at the Umbra Institute where I took Psychology, Art, History, and Italian courses, and the second semester at the University for Foreigners, directly enrolled in an intensive language program. Although the classes at Umbra are in English, they have plenty of opportunities to get involved with the community, either through specific courses or volunteer/teaching opportunities outside the regular curriculum.”
