Course Description
This online course offered by the University of Mississippi in cooperation with the Umbra Institute. Note: This course carries a supplemental program fee.
This course will examine the characteristics, causes, and treatment of abnormal behavior.
Course Objectives (include but are not limited to):
- have an integrative overview of the field of abnormal psychology and major psychological problems and disorders
- be familiar with the multiple causes of psychopathology as viewed from a number of different theoretical perspectives
- have explored an integrative view of research in the area of abnormal behavior
- be able to discuss intervention and prevention strategies for psychological disorders
