At the Umbra Institute, we are passionate about cultural immersion. To further this aim we offer a language exchange called “Tandem”. This is an informal social gathering between American students and Italian students from local universities.

Come eat pizza on Umbra! Meet at the fountain at 6:50pm to walk together to the pizzerias. We will divide you into groups and walk together to Il Baldo (Via Baldo, 11) and L’Amore per la Pizza (Via del Forno, 19)

Join us for a hiking day (suitable for all) through the wonderful olive oil fields of the Umbrian countryside.
Availability is limited, so remember to see Student Services to finalize your reservation by paying the 17€ contribution fee – or, if you are an all-inclusive student, come to the Student Services office to finalize your reservation.

This semester’s hike will take us from Assisi to Spello along the foothills of Mount Subasio, one of the most significant boulders in Umbria.
Level of difficulty: easy; no athletic preparation needed
Distance: 12,5 km (7,76 mi)
Elevation Change: 50 mt (164 ft)
Estimated Time: 2,50 hrs
Elevation trend: mixed (uphill and downhill)
