What are the admission requirements?

The Umbra Institute programs were designed for motivated college and university students who are eager to immerse themselves in all aspects of Italian life, language, and culture. Students must have the equivalent to an American GPA of 2.75. Those who do not meet this requirement can appeal for an exception but supplementary application materials and a more thorough candidate review process would be required. Students who do not meet the GPA requirement are therefore encouraged to apply early. If you are an Italian student, you must be matriculated at the Università degli Studi di Perugia or another approved Italian university, complete a prescribed application, and pass a proficiency of English exam.
