Tal Dotan Ben-Soussan, Ph.D.

Tal Dotan Ben-Soussan, PhD, is Director of the Research Institute for Neuroscience, Education and Didactics (RINED) at the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation for Development and Communication in Assisi, Italy. Her research explores the neurophysiological basis of creativity, consciousness and cognitive functioning. Integrating neuroscience, psychology, education, and contemplative science, she investigates how embodied practices promote neuroplasticity, self-regulation, resilience, cognitive flexibility, mental health, and global health. Her work bridges basic neuroscience with practical applications in education, well-being, and human development, with the goal of translating scientific discoveries into evidence-informed approaches that enhance human flourishing. She teaches internationally on neuroscience, consciousness, and well-being, encouraging students and leaders to critically examine the biological, psychological, and social foundations of health while exploring practical strategies for personal and professional growth. She has authored more than 70 scientific publications and co-edited four volumes on the neurophysiology of silence. She is actively involved in international collaborations advancing interdisciplinary research at the intersection of neuroscience, education, well-being, sustainability, and global health.
