Ciao! My name is Chloé and I attend Chapman University. I am a Psychology and Global Communication and World Languages double major with a Sociology minor. At Umbra I was in the General Studies program. I came into the program really wanting to immerse myself in the Italian language and culture, and I felt the city of Perugia was perfect for that! I absolutely loved the time I spent in Perugia and with the Umbra Institute. The staff is incredibly welcoming and supportive. The professors are very knowledgeable and it is easy to form close connections with them. I loved my classes because they were engaging and some of them included field trips. My favorite field trip was for my Roman Empire class, where we spent a weekend exploring Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Naples! Perugia itself is a beautiful city filled with amazing landscapes and architecture. I enjoyed traveling around Italy and to different countries on the weekends. I loved being part of something so unique and I am happy to answer any questions students have about the program!
